YOGA FOR YOUR HEALTH
Allyson Hawkins, CYI
A new yoga class, Gentle Yoga , will be starting soon at the Unitarian Church in Danville. This class offers you that something different for a healthier new you! Gentle Yoga is a series of beginning to intermediate yoga postures moving in a gentle flow from one to another. This helps increase your circulatory system, bringing a fresh blood flow to your muscles. The poses will slowly increase your strength, flexibility and better your posture. Combined with breath work, you will start to lower your blood pressure and reduce stress.
Yoga has been a part of my life for about fifteen years now and I have been teaching for about three years. I received my teachers training at City Yoga in downtown Indianapolis and have combined different styles to fit your everyday needs. The classes are very gentle, no jarring movements. Any pose can be modified to meet your specific needs.
